Week Twenty-Three - Demountable Floodgates in place at the Boatyard

Week commencing 9th February 2015.

Latest news on the main floodgate is that it is warped and has gone to a hydraulic press in Sheffield.  In the meantime, the boatyard surface has been made good with a final gravel layer and the installation of the demountable floodgates - these will be in place after boats are lifted for winter storage and then removed for the beginning of the new boating season.

Along The Quay waterfront floodgates are in place for Windy Bank, Debenair and Micklegarth, with some final fixes still to be completed.  Work is also underway to restore the garden at Micklegarth, which was used for heavy vehicles accessing the river front.
